Dr. Marcell Kereszty was born in 1969 in Budapest, Hungary. He studied electrical engineering in Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria and graduated from the Technical University of Budapest in 1992 with a M.Sc.Elec.Eng. degree. In 1997 he received his second degree in economics from the University of Economics, Budapest. He started his career in the field of industrial property with this firm in 1996. In 1998 he received his postgraduate diploma in industrial property law. He passed his patent attorney examination with distinction in 1999 and became a partner in the firm as of 1 January 2002. In 2005 he received his summa cum
laude Doctor of Law degree from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. Dr. Kereszty has considerable expertise in the fields of patenting computer-related inventions.
Dr. Kereszty is a member of the AIPPI, ECTA, the German Association for the Protection of Industrial Property and Copyright and the Hungarian Association for the Protection of Industrial Property and Copyright. He is a member of the Hungarian Copyright Law Expert Board appointed by the Minister of Justice, as well as a member of the Presidency of the Hungarian Chamber of Patent Attorneys, the Hungarian Trademark Association, LES Hungaria and of the Hungarian Group of AIPPI.
