Mr. László
Kékes was born in 1939 in Budapest, Hungary. He graduated from the
Department of Telecommunication of the Technical University of Budapest with
a M.Sc.Elec.Eng. degree. From 1962 to 1971 he was a development engineer and
project leader for TV and VHF-FM transmitters with a Hungarian company. He
passed his patent attorney examination in 1968. From 1971 to 1974 he was a
judge in the Division of Industrial Property at the Metropolitan Court of
Budapest. In 1974 he joined Patent & Law Office for International Affairs as
a patent attorney and practised there until 1990 when this firm was
established.
Mr. Kékes is a member of AIPPI, UNION and the
German Association for the Protection of Industrial Property and Copyright.
He served on the Presidency of the Hungarian Association for the Protection
of Industrial Property and Copyright from 1981 to 1990. In the Hungarian
Chamber of Patent Attorneys he was substitute member of the Presidency from
1996 to 1999 and has been Treasurer since 2003.
